This part is the next episode of the iconic dilogy by James Cameron. The film is presented as a straight continuation of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”.

Among the screenwriters fans can see Cameron himself, and the cast consists of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The budget of the project is 185 million dollars. But as a result we see awful reviews from critics, a miserable box office, a deep disappointment of fans. So, what went wrong?
The Secondary Nature of The Story
The creators of a new movie made so many nods in the direction of “Terminator 2” that they almost copied the film in general. Unless the fact that Legion appears instead of Skynet, Dani instead of John Connor and REV-9 is now instead of T-1000. Oh, and modification of Grace came on the place of an old Arni T-800.

Faded Characters
Mackenzie Davis, who got a role of a kind cyber machine, has got nothing to play in this movie. Natalia Reyes plays too strange Dani who is chased by an evil Terminator. But fans can’t worry about her. We don’t know at least anything about this character, she also hasn’t got a clear story of her life.
Gabriel Luna plays a Mexican prototype of Terminator REV-9, but it isn’t scary at all. Compare at least with Robert Patrick, whose single scare could create the atmosphere of horror.

As for the “old guys”, they were called just to attract attention to the project and to invite as much their fans as possible. But the episodes with these actors are extremely short. They just stand aside and remind the audience about themselves.
Weak Graphics
There are lots of epic moments in the movie. And each one is provided with tons of special effects. But sometimes they look inappropriate. And it’s especially noticeable in the episodes with a new Terminator.

The Film Devalues The Events From The Previous Parts
Being a sequel of the “Terminator 2” the new film completely nullifies the events of the last parts. In the beginning the movie has an episode which makes a sense of the new story, but it makes the previous events completely senseless at the same time. This moment was the last straw and made audience angry most of all.
